Hold your talk button, speak one command and release. FlightFabric shows the recognised phrase and command result so you can check what happened in the cockpit.
Voice input runs in the Windows desktop app. Speech is processed locally on your PC; microphone audio is not sent to a cloud speech service.

Follow position, speed, altitude and aircraft state, check your SimBrief flight plan, or browse the logbook. Voice input remains on the Windows PC.

Aircraft-specific controls and voice command sets are available for the families below. Controls vary by aircraft; some require an additional module or integration setup.

MSFS 2024 and aircraft add-ons are separate products. Support is still developing, and not every command has been verified in a live simulator session. Check the app’s aircraft integration guide and command availability before use.
Development preview
The next interface brings navigation, aircraft controls and recorded flights into a more consistent workspace. These captures use sample data and show work in development, not the released 0.9.9 interface.
Free and open source
Install FlightFabric on the Windows PC running MSFS 2024. No FlightFabric account or subscription is required.
Still in development. Expect bugs and incomplete aircraft support.
The current installer is unsigned. Windows may show an “Unknown publisher” warning.
Open the downloaded Windows installer and follow the setup steps. Then start MSFS 2024 and open FlightFabric. You do not need GitHub’s Source code archives.

Before you download
Yes. FlightFabric is free, open source software licensed under the GNU AGPL v3. There is no paid tier and no FlightFabric account is required. Contributions are optional.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Windows is the supported workflow. MSFS 2020 and X-Plane are not currently supported.
Voice input runs in the Windows desktop app. A phone, tablet or second computer can access on-screen controls and flight information over your trusted home network.
No. Speech recognition runs locally on your PC. FlightFabric does not save, log or send microphone audio to a cloud service. Voice control is off until you enable it. Other features, such as online maps and SimBrief, use network services.
Available controls depend on the aircraft, its current state and the installed integrations. Aircraft support is still developing. Follow the integration guide in the app, check unavailable-command messages and verify the result in the cockpit.

The screenshots on this page show the interface currently in development, using sample data. The available download is FlightFabric 0.9.9 and uses the earlier interface. See the release notes for the published changes.
